¿Qué pasa si no votas?

El Código Nacional Electoral (CNE) indica que aquellas personas que no emitan su voto y no justifiquen su ausencia ante la justicia electoral dentro de los 60 días posteriores a la elección, deberán enfrentar una multa que va desde los 1000 a 2000 pesos.

Además se los incorpora al Registro de Infractores y se los bloquea para realizar trámites estatales por un año.

Por otra parte, a aquellos que no concurran a las urnas, se les quita la posibilidad de asumir cargos públicos por tres años.

También podrían enfrentar restricciones para realizar trámites municipales, provinciales o nacionales por un año.

¿Cómo se puede justificar la ausencia?

Debe acreditar la causa ante la Justicia Electoral dentro de los 60 días hábiles posteriores a la elección.

El trámite se puede hacer de forma digital ingresando al Registro de infractores.
