San Remo Liguria Calcio: El nuevo club de Junior Fernandes

Con la medalla olímpica aun colgada en su cuello, Junior Fernandes, el número 8 de la selección nacional de futbol para ciegos, anunció su llegada al nuevo club.

En las próximas semanas Junior se suma al plantel del club San Remo Liguria Calcio, en Europa. Después de un exitoso paso por los Juegos Paralimpicos de Paris 2024 y con su medalla de plata desembarca en el club italiano para seguir brillando.

Junior contó que fue el propio Silvio Velo quien lo llamó hace unos meses para invitarlo a formar parte del plantel y eso debía ser inmediatamente después de Paris. Por lo que Junior se bajó del podio y tomó un avión rumbo a Italia.

“Que un equipo de Europa y Silvio me ofrecieran ir fue toda una emoción. Por supuesto, le dije que si”, manifestó el jugador estrella de “Los Murciélagos”. Junior viajó junto a Maximiliano Nóbili, creador del equipo Fundación Paradeportes - Cañuelas FC donde debuté en 2017 y con quien comenzó su camino en el fútbol. 

Siempre agradeciendo a su familia y a todos los que lo apoyan en este camino, Junior dijo: “es tiempo de disfrutar y vivir con alegría este momento... siempre junto a mi medalla”.
